Bergstrom introduces NITE Phoenix, a no-idle solution designed for hot climates
NITE Phoenix has the highest and longest cooling capacity of any battery-powered no-idle system on the market
Louisville, Ky. (March 24, 2010) Bergstrom Inc., a global leader in the design and supply of climate systems to the commercial vehicle industry, today announced a brand new, battery-powered no-idle solution designed to keep drivers cool and comfortable in the hottest climates.
The new system, the NITE Phoenix (www.nitesystem.com), joins the NITE Plus and the NITE Day Cab in Bergstrom’s best-selling line of no-idle solutions.
The NITE Phoenix uses comparable levels of battery power as other no-idle solutions, but as a result of its larger compressor it keeps drivers cooler and runs longer. The system has the highest and longest cooling capacity of any battery-powered, no-idle solution on the market.
“We specifically designed the NITE Phoenix for drivers who frequently travel in hot climates,” said Terry Zeigler, vice president of electrified systems at Bergstrom. “No-idling restrictions combined with high temperatures demand a no-idling solution that will cool the cab in a consistent and efficient manner. The NITE Phoenix delivers the powerful system that drivers need to stay cool and comfortable in areas of the country that are extremely hot.”
In addition to the enhancements made to the electrical system, the NITE Phoenix also includes a new LCD digital user interface and battery monitoring system that make it easier for drivers to control the unit. Features include onboard service diagnostics, automatic temperature control and a check filter function.
