Houston, TX – [8/20/2025] – Bergstrom Inc., a global leader in thermal management solutions, today celebrated the grand opening of its new Bergstrom Thermal Systems facility in Houston, Texas on August 20, 2025. The new plant will produce advanced thermal management systems(both HVACs and Chillers) for Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) units and marks a significant milestone in Bergstrom’s expansion into the rapidly growing stationary thermal management sector.
The event was held in the presence of Bergstrom’s valued customer and partner, Fluence Energy, a global leader in energy storage technology.

Bergstrom, a family-owned company headquarters in Rockford, Illinois, celebrated its 75th anniversary in 2024. The company has long been recognized for its leadership in mobile HVAC systems and for pioneering battery-based mobile HVAC through its patented NITE systems. With the Houston facility, Bergstrom is extending its expertise into BESS thermal management, a natural evolution of its legacy of innovation and environmental stewardship.

Looking ahead, Houston facility will focus on expanding other product lines to include Bergstrom’s new 60kW chiller as well as other thermal management solutions designed to support the energy transition.
