Environmental Policy

Dirna Bergstrom covers all of the organization’s activities related to the design, production, marketing, and after-sales service of air conditioning systems, formed tubes, and fittings for the automotive industry.  It is Europe’s leading supplier in the design and manufacture of parking coolers, air conditioning components, and parts for commercial vehicles.

Dirna Bergstrom establishes its Environmental Policy based on the following commitments:

• Environmental legal compliance: we identify, assess, and update all environmental requirements applicable to our activities to ensure compliance with current legislation and other applicable requirements. In addition, we are certified to ISO 14001:2015.

• Continuous improvement of environmental performance: we are committed to collaborating and working to continuously improve our activities, products, and services while protecting the environment:
  • Energy consumption management: we work extensively with renewable energy through electricity suppliers that source a high percentage of their power from renewable energy, as well as through our own photovoltaic solar panels.
  • Working with suppliers to reduce the environmental impact of raw materials.
  • Promoting environmental awareness among our employees, customers, and suppliers to minimize our impact on the environment.
  • We work together with the Bergstrom Group and the consultancy EcoAct to reduce our carbon footprint and decarbonize our processes and transportation through the GHG Project.
  • Maintaining an Environmental Management System certified to ISO 14001.

• Pollution prevention.
  • The noise emissions generated by our processes comply with all applicable regulations.
  • Waste segregation.
  • Recycling of cardboard and plastic waste through our authorized waste management provider.
  • Soil contamination prevention. 
  • Prevention of any type of spill.
  • Compliance with regulations governing the collection of hazardous waste generated during our production processes, and proper management of such waste by the designated waste management officer.

Our production and manufacturing processes respect animal welfare and biodiversity by prioritizing the use of recycled raw materials.
